Ms. Ven Phatha is an experienced educator specializing in art education, drawing, handicrafts, and teacher training. She has dedicated herself to the field of education since 2002. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts from the Royal University of Fine Arts and a Teaching Certificate for Lower Secondary Education (12+2) from the Phnom Penh Teacher Training Center.
Ms. Ven Phatha began her professional career at the Phnom Penh Pedagogical and In-Service Training School in 2002, which later became Phnom Penh Teacher Education College (PTEC) in 2018. She initially served as a lecturer in drawing and handicraft education before being appointed as Deputy Teacher Trainer in the Department of Social Sciences.
In this important leadership role, she focuses on teacher capacity development, art and handicraft education, and research-based teaching methodologies in art education. Her work encourages student teachers to develop creativity and innovative ideas through artistic and handicraft practices.
1996 – 2000: Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts, Royal University of Fine Arts

2013: Passed the examination to transfer from lower secondary teacher status to higher education teacher status
2017: Bachelor’s Degree in History, Cambodian University for Specialties (CUS)
2019: Master’s Degree in History, Cambodian University for Specialties (CUS)
August 2016 – February 2022: Successfully completed the National Teacher Trainer Training Program for Primary Education, supported by the Japanese Organization for School Construction for Children through the JICA Partnership Program. She also participated in a one-week educational study visit and school observation program in Japan in 2024.
