Mr. Sao Sovann is an experienced educator with a strong background in art education, drawing and handicrafts, as well as teacher training. He has devoted himself to the field of education since 2001, contributing significantly to the development of teaching quality and teacher capacity building in Cambodia.

He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts from the Royal University of Fine Arts(RUPFA) and completed a Higher Education Pedagogy Certificate Program (Bachelor +1) at the National Institute of Education (NIE).

Mr. Sao Sovann began his educational career at the Phnom Penh Regional Teacher Training Center (PPRTTC) in 2001. In 2018, (PPRTTC) was upgraded to Phnom Penh Teacher Education College (PTEC), where he continued serving as a lecturer in drawing and handicraft education. Later, he was appointed as Deputy Teacher Trainer in the Department of Social Sciences.

In his leadership role, he focuses on teacher capacity development, art and handicraft education, and research-based teaching methodologies. He is committed to encouraging pre-service teachers to develop creativity, imagination, and innovative thinking through art education.
