About Chanvatey PHY
PHY Chanvatey is a french teacher educator at Phnom Penh Teacher Education College (PTEC) in the Department of Languages. She has more than seven years of experience in the field of education. Since 2024, she has been actively engaged in teacher education and professional development at PTEC.
Before joining PTEC, she worked as a high school teacher for five years, where she gained valuable experience in classroom management, student engagement, and language instruction. Through her years of teaching, she developed a strong passion for education and continuous professional growth. Since 2024, she has been actively involved in teacher education at PTEC, contributing to the preparation and development of future teachers.
She holds a Master’s Degree in Methodology of Teaching French Language from the National Institute of Education(NIE). Her academic background has provided her with solid knowledge in pedagogy, language teaching methodologies, curriculum development, and learner-centered approaches. She continuously seeks opportunities to strengthen her professional skills through educational training, workshops, and collaborative learning activities.
At PTEC, she is responsible for supporting student teachers through instructional guidance, and academic activities. She participates in preparing teaching materials, conducting classroom instruction, and promoting effective and interactive teaching methods. Her educational approach focuses on encouraging active learning, communication skills and student participation in the learning process.
