About BUN Syna
Mrs. Bun Syna is a Chemistry Lecturer of the Department of Science. She specializes in teaching chemistry subjects to student teachers and actively contributes to improving science education through collaborative academic activities.
As part of her professional responsibilities, she participates in Lesson Study (LS) with fellow lecturers to design, evaluate, and improve effective lesson plans for student teachers. Through this collaborative process, she involves to enhance teaching quality and promote student-centered learning approaches.
Beyond classroom teaching, she encourages students to engage in scientific inquiry, innovation, and STEM education activities. She leads students in conducting small research and STEM-related science projects for the annual science fair organized at Phnom Penh Teacher Education College. These activities help students develop critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving skills while applying scientific knowledge to real-world situations.
Mrs. Syna also supervise fourth-year student teachers in completing their graduation theses for their bachelor’s degrees. Her role includes guiding students in research design, writing, data analysis, interpretation of results, and thesis preparation. She is committed to supporting students in improving their knowledge and teaching skills.
Through teaching, collaborative lesson development, and research supervision, she strives to contribute to the advancement of quality teacher education and science education in Cambodia.
