About Vanna MOEUNG

Mr. Vanna MOEUNG is a Teacher Educator in Chemistry at Phnom Penh Teacher Education College (PTEC), Cambodia. He has extensive experience in teacher education, science teaching, and professional development for pre-service teachers.

At PTEC, Mr. Vanna MOEUNG is responsible for training student teachers in chemistry content knowledge, teaching methodology, laboratory management, and classroom practices. He also supports student teachers in developing local teaching materials and applying student-centered and inquiry-based learning approaches in science education.

Mr. Vanna MOEUNG obtained a Master of Education in International Education Development from Hiroshima University, Japan, in 2024 under the JICA Development Studies Program (JICA-DSP). He also earned a Master of Science in Chemistry from Khemarak University and a Master of Arts in Educational Science from the Cambodian University for Specialties. In addition, he completed teacher training in Chemistry-Biology at the National Institute of Education (NIE) and holds a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from the Royal University of Phnom Penh (RUPP).

His academic and professional interests include science education, chemistry education, teacher professional development, inquiry-based learning, collaborative learning, educational research, and improving teaching quality in Cambodia.

Currently, Mr. Vanna MOEUNG is serving as a Teacher Educator at Phnom Penh Teacher Education College (PTEC). He is also engaged in educational research and professional development activities related to teacher training and science education. His recent studies focus on collaborative learning, student teachers’ self-efficacy, and misconceptions in science education.
