About Pisey Keo
| KEO Pisey is a teacher educator at Phnom Penh Teacher Education College (PTEC) with more than twenty-six years of experience in teaching, training, and educational service in Cambodia. She began her career in 1999 as a primary school teacher at Stung Meanchey Primary School and later taught at the Royal Primary Application School (2004–2007) and Indra Tevy High School (2007–2008), before joining PTEC in August 2008, where she now serves as an Assistant Teacher Educator (គ្រូឧទ្ទេសរង) in the field of Khmer Literature. She holds a Master of Arts in Educational Science from the University of Cambodia (2010–2012) and a Higher Teacher Diploma in Khmer Literature from the National Institute of Education (NIE, 2006–2007). At PTEC, she is actively involved in teaching, lesson preparation, and the mentoring of pre-service teachers specializing in Khmer Literature, contributing to the development of qualified teachers for general secondary education. Her cross-level experience — from primary classrooms to upper-secondary schools and now teacher education — gives her a broad pedagogical perspective that informs her work with student teachers. Her teaching approach emphasizes strong subject-matter knowledge, accurate use of the Khmer language, discipline, and responsibility, alongside a deep appreciation of Khmer literary and cultural heritage. She is committed to lifelong learning and to contributing meaningfully to the continued improvement of teacher education in Cambodia. |
