About CHEAM Ang

Mr. Cheam Ang is a dedicated physics educator with extensive experience in both secondary and higher education in Cambodia. He currently serves as a Physics teacher at Phnom Penh Teacher Education College (PTEC), where he is responsible for training pre-service teachers in physics content, teaching methodology, and classroom practice. He plays an important role in guiding student-teachers through observation and real classroom teaching experiences.

In addition to his work at PTEC, Mr. Ang has been a Lecturer of Physics at the Institute of Technology of Cambodia (ITC) since 2020. In this role, he supports laboratory instruction and teaches tutorials and practical sessions for first- and second-year university students.

Mr. Cheam Ang began his teaching career in Kampot Province, where he spent over a decade teaching physics, mathematics, and chemistry at both secondary and high school levels. This strong foundation in classroom teaching has shaped his commitment to improving science education and teacher training in Cambodia.

He holds a Master of Science in Physics from the Royal University of Phnom Penh and a Bachelor of Science in Physics from Khemarak University. He also earned a Certificate of Teacher Education from the National Institute of Education and completed pedagogical training in physics and chemistry at the Takeo Regional Teacher Training Center.

With a passion for education and a strong background in both subject matter and pedagogy, Mr. Cheam Ang is committed to developing competent and confident future teachers who will contribute to the advancement of education in Cambodia.
