About YEN Sophearith

Mr. Yen Sophearith is a lecturer and teacher trainer at Phnom Penh Teacher Education College with academic and professional experience in teacher education, environmental science, and educational research. He holds a Master’s degree in Earth and Environmental Sciences from Chonnam National University and a Degree of Teacher with Higher Education from National Institute of Education.

Prior to his teaching career, he gained professional experience in environmental research and project coordination. Since transitioning into education, he has served as a high school teacher, university instructor, and currently as a lecturer responsible for teaching, curriculum implementation, lesson planning, and supervising student teachers’ action research. He also participated in the Korea–Cambodia Teaching Exchange Program in South Korea, promoting cross-cultural understanding and educational exchange.

His professional interests focus on teacher education, pedagogical practices, science education, and educational reform aimed at enhancing teaching and learning in Cambodia. His research interests include teacher professional development, curriculum improvement, classroom-based research, and educational quality enhancement in teacher training institutions.

He is committed to contributing to educational development through teaching, research, and the preparation of future teachers equipped with strong pedagogical and research competencies.
