About SEANG Bunthoeun
Mr. Seang Bunthoeun is a distinguished Cambodian educator and physics specialist currently serving as a Teacher Educator at the Phnom Penh Teacher Education College (PTEC). With a career spanning two decades, he has built a robust reputation for excellence in pedagogy and science education. His professional journey began in 2006 at Pailin High School, eventually leading to significant roles as a Teacher Trainer at the Regional Teacher Trainer Center (RTTC) in Kandal province, Cambodia and a long-term tenure at Western International School (WIS).
His academic foundation is characterized by a commitment to lifelong learning and international academic exchange. Mr. Bunthoeun holds a Master’s Degree in Physics from KHEMARAK University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Physics from the Royal University of Phnom Penh (RUPP). Most recently, he expanded his expertise by pursuing a Master’s Degree in Educational Science at Hiroshima University in Japan, focusing on the specialized Program for Improvement in Children's Learning.
Beyond his formal degrees, Mr. Bunthoeun has engaged in high-level professional development through the JICA Development Studies Program. This training provided him with deep insights into the Japanese development experience and modern instructional strategies designed to enhance student outcomes. These international perspectives complement his native command of Khmer and his proficient communication skills in English, allowing him to bridge local educational needs with global best practices.
Mr. Bunthoeun remains a well-connected figure within the Cambodian academic community, supported by references from esteemed faculty members at the Royal University of Phnom Penh, including Assistant Professor Bun Chantha and Dr. Yann Rem. His diverse background—ranging from high school instruction to training the next generation of teachers.
