About Sek Sophana

Mr. Sek Sophana has been involved in teaching English for more than fifteen years in both formal and informal educational settings. Currently, he serves as a teacher educator at Phnom Penh Teacher Education College (PTEC). With his extensive knowledge and experience, he has been helping to guide and strengthen hundreds of student-teachers’ academic abilities, teaching methodologies, and confidence in their teaching practices across different subjects. He is strongly committed to contributing to the improvement of future education.​ In addition to his teaching experience and dedication, Mr. Sophana holds a Master’s Degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) from the Institute of Foreign Languages (IFL-RUPP). Moreover, he has participated in both national and international short professional development courses to gain deeper insights into his teaching profession and enhance his professional competencies. These include i) Teaching Methodology, ii) Action Research and iii) Data Analysis. His main research interests include: i) Teacher Education and Professional Development, ii) Language Teaching Methodologies, iii) Classroom Assessment and Evaluation, and iv) Student-Centered Learning.
