Ceremony of awarding certificates of Japanese language level A1 and letters of commendation to student teachers of Phnom Penh Teachers' Institute —————————————————- On Monday evening, May 4, 2026 at 5:30 PM, Phnom Penh Teachers' Institute and the Japan Foundation organized a ceremony to award certificates of Japanese language level A1 to 7 successful student teachers and to award letters of commendation to outstanding student teachers. The ceremony was attended by Mr. ISOGAYA Hiroyuki, Director of the Japan Foundation Phnom Penh Liaison Office, Dr. Sam Chanphirun, Deputy Director of Phnom Penh Teachers' Institute, visiting teachers, and Japanese teachers. On that occasion, Mr. ISOGAYA Hiroyuki and Dr. Sam Chanphirun expressed their appreciation to the student teachers for their efforts, expressed their congratulations, and spoke about strengthening the friendship between the two countries through studying the language and culture of Japan. After the certificates were handed out, there was also a Sakura ceremony, where each student teacher was required to write about what they had learned, what they wanted to learn next, and a free text.
