Former Student Teachers and New Year's Sankranti Reunion: A sermon (Buddhist education program) On Monday morning, April 6, 2026, at the former student teachers and new year's Sankranti Reunion, 2569 B.E., the Phnom Penh Teachers' Institute invited Preah Dhammavichea Rim Chanra, Honorary Member of the Royal Order of the Kingdom of Cambodia, to deliver a Buddhist education sermon to the educational staff, former student teachers, student teachers, and Buddhists in the institute community. The Venerable explained that there are two principles of Dharma (the Dharma that protects the world) that humans must adopt and practice in order to achieve peace. The two principles are: 1) Hiri, which is shame for committing wrongdoing (sin), and 2) Ottapa, which is fear of the consequences of wrongdoing (the consequences of sin). His Holiness also explained in connection with the professional ethics of teachers, who are role models in society and the foundation for developing human capital for a strong nation, and must adhere to the two principles above regularly.
