Working Meeting between Phnom Penh Pedagogical Institute and the U.S. Embassy — On the morning of April 3, 2026, Dr. Sam Chanphirun, Deputy Director of the Phnom Penh Pedagogical Institute, led a delegation from the Phnom Penh Pedagogical Institute (PTEC) to meet with officials from the U.S. Embassy in Cambodia and David Fay, Director of the Regional English Language Office (RELO) of the U.S. Embassy in Vietnam. The meeting focused on the following: • Supporting the English Language Program: Reviewing activities to promote English language teaching and learning through U.S. Embassy experts and volunteer English language teachers. • Strengthening Collaboration: Continuing to collaborate more closely to improve the quality of the English language curriculum at Phnom Penh Pedagogical Institute. • Professional Development: Creating continuous professional development (CPD) opportunities for English language teachers to strengthen their abilities and modernize their teaching methods. On this special occasion, the Phnom Penh Pedagogical Institute also received a gift of English language books from the Embassy to serve as important learning resources for teachers and student teachers in their research and teaching.
