About Sinet Mak

MAK Sinet is a teacher educator at Phnom Penh Teacher Education College (PTEC) with more than thirty years of experience in teaching, training, and educational service in Cambodia. She began her career as an upper-secondary school teacher in Kratie province in 1994, where she taught at Preah Mohaksat Yaniya Kossomak High School and later at Sila Vetikat Chhoun High School. In 2013, she joined the Phnom Penh Regional Teacher Training Centre, and in 2017 she was officially transferred to PTEC, where she now serves as an Assistant Teacher Educator (គ្រូឧទ្ទេសរង) in the field of Khmer Literature. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Khmer Literature from the Royal University of Phnom Penh (1991–1994). At PTEC, she is actively involved in teaching, lesson preparation, and the mentoring of pre-service teachers specializing in Khmer Literature, contributing to the development of qualified teachers for general secondary education. Her work emphasizes strong subject-matter knowledge, accurate use of the Khmer language, and a deep appreciation of Khmer literary and cultural heritage. In recognition of her contributions, she was awarded a Certificate of Appreciation from PTEC in 2018 and currently holds civil-service rank K.1.4. Her teaching approach values discipline, responsibility, and continuous professional growth, and she remains committed to lifelong learning and to contributing meaningfully to the advancement of teacher education in Cambodia.
