About Soklim Phun
Professional Biography
Mr. PHUN SOKLIM is a distinguished Physics lecturers at Phnom Penh Teacher Education College (PTEC), a role he has held since 2024. Currently serving as the Deputy Head of the STEM Center at PTEC, he plays a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of educators. He also serves as a lead STEM Trainer, specifically overseeing STEM Club activities for primary-level student teachers.
He holds a Master of Physics (2021) and a Bachelor’s Degree in Physics (2015), both from the Royal University of Phnom Penh (RUPP). His academic foundation in advanced physics provides the theoretical depth that informs his practical approach to science education.
Prior to joining PTEC, he spent seven years (2017–2024) as a Physics Teacher at Prek Leap High School, a prominent New Generation School (NGS). During this tenure, he gained extensive experience in modern pedagogical standards and high-impact teaching strategies.
He is a strong advocate for active learning and hands-on scientific exploration. His professional interests include developing and conducting physics experiments, designing and producing low-cost, innovative laboratory equipment, integrating STEM education and Educational Technology (EdTech) into the classroom.
Dedicated to educational reform, he continues to lead initiatives that bridge the gap between theoretical science and practical, technology-driven instruction at the Phnom Penh Teacher Education College.
