About LOK Solinda
Ms. Solinda LOK is a passionate and dedicated educator with over 15 years of experience in education, specializing in lower elementary curriculum development, and in designing Training of Trainers program, particularly in primary science education. Currently, she is deputy head of Science Department at PTEC which in charge of curriculum and course syllabus development, and capacity development. Besides, she is actively involved in research within the department by supporting and cooperating with other lectures aimed to improve learning and teaching quality of science.
Before joining PTEC, Ms Solinda LOK has extensive experiences in teaching Earth Science and Environment and teaching methodology at the Regional Teacher Training Center in Phnom Penh (RTTC), where she led and designed teaching plan, lesson plans and teaching materials for lower secondary student teachers. In this position, she earns practical experience on creating an inclusive and high-energy classroom environment where every student feels seen and capable. In addition, she conducts various professional courses for teachers and lectures from other Teacher Training Centers focusing on teaching methodology, 21st century skills, pedagogical innovation and practical scientific experiments.
Beyond the classroom, Solinda LOK also supervises four-year student teachers in doing action research where she mentors and coaches student teachers through the process of research by guiding the student in transforming a vague interest into a precise, researchable, and answerable question and directing them toward appropriate research methodologies, data collection tools, and analytical frameworks.
