Asst. Prof. Mrs. Hour Khim is an experienced teacher educator and academic leader with more than two decades of distinguished service in biology education, teacher education, and curriculum development. From 2000 to 2018, she served as a Teacher Educator in Biology at the National Institute of Education (NIE), where she contributed to preparing upper secondary school biology teachers and strengthening curriculum and instructional practices.

Since 2018, she has served at the Phnom Penh Teacher Education College (PTEC) as a Teacher Educator in Biology for lower secondary teacher preparation. She has led the development of teaching plans, lesson plans, and instructional materials while promoting inclusive, student-centered, and engaging learning environments. She also delivers professional development programs for teachers and lecturers in teaching methodology, 21st-century skills, pedagogical innovation, and practical science education.

Her leadership was recognized through her appointment as Head of the Department of Science (2019–2022). In July 2021, she was appointed as a Master Trainer in School Health Education, and in 2022, she was promoted to Vice Dean of the Faculty of Science Education, a position she currently holds. Beyond teaching and leadership, Mrs. Hour Khim supervises fourth-year student teachers in conducting action research, mentoring them in research design, methodology, data collection, and analysis to strengthen the quality and impact of their research.

In recognition of her outstanding contribution to teacher education, the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport recognized Mrs. Hour Khim in 2025 as the Number One Best Teacher Educator.
