Professional Biography

Mr. Him Thya is a respected Cambodian educator and ICT expert with more than 15 years of experience in technical support, teacher training, and academic leadership. Born in 1985 in Phnom Penh, he has focused his career on promoting digital literacy and STEM education throughout Cambodia.
Thya has an impressive academic background, holding three master\'s degrees: Information Technology Engineering (MITE), School-Based Management, and Mentoring. He also earned a bachelor\'s degree in computer science and English from Phnom Penh International University.
He started his career in telecommunications, working as technical support for Metfone and managing 3G and internet infrastructure. In 2012, he moved into education, first as an ICT teacher trainer at the Regional Teacher Training Center in Kampong Cham, then at Prek Anhchanh High School (NGS). Today, he is an ICT lecturer and mentor at Phnom Penh Education College, where he leads lesson studies, supports action research, and helps train future teachers to use technology effectively in their classrooms.
